Established in 1910, Sames Auto Group is Texas's oldest automobile dealership and among the nation’s oldest, proudly serving Texas communities for over 115 years. From Humble Beginnings to a Regional Leader

Our story begins with W.J. Sames, who arrived in Laredo in 1890. An entrepreneur and visionary, W.J. began his career as a commission sales agent before building his own business, Sames & Moore Company, with partner J.R. Moore. Recognizing the potential in the burgeoning automobile industry, they added Ford cars to their lineup in 1910, introducing the first vehicles to the Laredo area.

By 1925, W.J. Sames took sole ownership of the automobile business, solidifying a legacy of excellence. The Sames name became synonymous with reliable vehicles and outstanding service, growing into one of the most trusted dealerships in the region.
